Hege Høyer Leivestad is an Assistant Professor in social anthropology at Stockholm University, and a researcher in the ERC-project PORTS at the University of Oslo. She is the author of Caravans: Lives on Wheels in Contemporary Europe (Bloomsbury 2018), and has published on mobility theory and methodology, homemaking, logistics and port-making. Hege is currently working on a book manuscript based on ethnographic fieldwork in the Spanish Port of Algeciras located on the Strait of Gibraltar.
