Hanna A. Ruszczyk
Hanna A. Ruszczyk is feminist urban geographer at the Department of Geography, Durham University (UK). She explores social infrastructures, the gendered aspects of slow violence, urban risk governance and resilience strategies in overlooked cities. Her articles have been published in Political Geography, Geoforum, Urban Geography, Area, Disasters and Environment & Urbanization. Before academia, Dr. Ruszczyk worked for the United Nations. On the topic of gender and infrastructure, she has co-written an article on “Bodies as urban infrastructure”, co-edited a digital magazine “Labouring Urban Infrastructures”, and authored a forthcoming book titled Gender and Resilience in the City: Infrastructures, aspirations and slow violence in Nepal, to be published with Practical Action Publishing.
